In Honor Of...

This is the painting that Loeta McElwee painted for me and Jerry. She called it "In Honor of Jane and Jerry and the John Day River" She gave it to us as a ten year celebration for my helping with fund-raising for Albertina Kerr, an organization that serves children and adults with disabilities in Portland, Oregon. Great work of art!

Jane: We thought of you today at another 10 year anniversary - that of High Lookee Lodge! It was quite special that our parents, yours and mine, spent their final days together! Mavis

I just wanted to drop you a note and say thank you for the wonderful books you write. I recently finished "Homestead" and wanted to tell you how you inspire me. It's not often I find authors that I feel that I connect with, but the way you write and the things you write about are relevant to me and my life. We are Christian, and I too married an older man, and it's nice to read books with women in similar situations.

Thank you again. I look forward to reading many more of your books and adding to my collection. So far I'm up to 5.

Have a blessed day!

A lovely painting for what I'm sure is a well deserved honour!
